We'll visit the National Gallery, Tate Modern and National Portrait Gallery and will be covering in depth the techniques and thought processes that I use. They will then be yours to use and build on to find your own unique moments.
We'll have fun. Update your street photography skills for 2025 whilst meeting some other street photographers along the way.

How to do street photography in galleries and museums. You’ll learn exactly how I get my gallery photos, how to increase your chance of coming away with a candid photograph that you love, getting over any fears you might have and how to apply all these techniques in the gallery and on the street. You'll have these new skills for a lifetime.
As a street photographer I have made a name for myself doing street photography in museums and galleries. I will be the tutor and guide for a small group of no more than 5 attendees. I'm also a professional tour guide. A Youtube profile on my photography can be found here and an online interview here. In 2024 Bump Books released We Go To The Gallery which sold out in record time.
WHAT'S INCLUDED.
A full day of tuition on street photography in London’s galleries and museums in a small group. All the museums and galleries we’ll visit will be free to enter.
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED.
Cost of lunch, camera equipment, travel on public transport between sites and any further refreshments.
GEAR + EXPERIENCE LEVEL.
Please bring a camera that you feel comfortable using to at least a basic level. Knowledge of aperture, ISO, shutter speed and all that jazz would be lovely although none of it is essential. A phone would even be fine.
BEFORE.
I'll be in contact with you soon after you sign up for the workshop. It'll also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions. Also please do remember that I’m a London tour guide professionally so if I can help in any way with any other part of your trip, assuming you’re not local to London, then please don’t be shy. Maybe you’re coming to London with friends/family and they are looking for things for them to do whilst you’re on the workshop? You'll receive detailed instructions as to where we'll meet closer to the time.
WHEN WE MEET ON THE DAY
We’ll meet over coffee and start to get to know each other and the rest of the group whilst I go over the plan for the day and give an introduction.
MORNING.
Heading into our first gallery/museum where we'll do a quick tour and I’ll explain my process and how you can start taking your own street photographs in galleries and museums. Tuition will be at any one time either whole group, 2 at a time or 1-on-1.
LUNCH.
We’ll take a short break but not for long. Enough time to refuel and to feel a bit rested but then we’ll get started again. Those photos won’t take themselves.
AFTERNOON.
In a different part of town and applying what you’ve learned in the morning whilst learning even more skills.
AFTER THE WORKSHOP.
We’ll debrief which is a highly technical photographic term for we’ll sit down for a good chat.
CANCELLATION POLICY.
The workshop is non-refundable but if you can’t make it and you have someone else to take your place please get in contact as soon as possible.

You could sign up for a Private 1-to-1 Workshop on a day that suits you. I'm trying to keep these at a reasonable price. Alternatively you could message me as to when you wished there was a group workshop as there's always the chance that someone else has done the same thing which would then make it financially worthwhile for me. We'll work something out.
